Moving your business to the Cloud enables you to harness a multitude of advanced, on-demand computing services. These are ranging from market leading apps to cloud storage.

Be warned….. this might not be your business cheapest option, but it will be the most secure…

The Advantages

Here at Bulldog IT we know our way from one cloud to another. We provide bespoke hybrid, private cloud and public cloud IT services and support. We can help your business to navigate the vast virtual environment that cloud software provides. Help you look forward to the benefits and huge advantages that using it can bring. For many companies, the cloud is still something of an untouched concept. Without an expert IT department at hand, it can be difficult to make cloud services work in a way that best suits your business needs. Bulldog IT provides a wide range of cloud IT services that can be tailored to your specific requirements.

Cloud Computing

Our Cloud Services and support are designed to fit around your business and your specific requirements. Providing only what you’ll find truly relevant to you. Whether it’s a private, public or hybrid cloud solution, Bulldog IT can provide it by carefully analysing your infrastructure. Our virtual/hosted desktops also allow you to work flexibly and reduce software spend.

Cloud Backup

Backup is an essential part of your company’s disaster recovery plan. It allows you to store data offsite – meaning quick recovery in the event of a data catastrophe. You can be reassured that your business continuity is in hand. Bulldog IT is ready to get you back up and running within minutes of server failure.

Cloud Hosting

Hosting means relying on Bulldog IT to handle some of the most critical elements of your business. Management of email, telephone systems and internal servers cause a lot of stress and frustration. Bulldog IT use cost-effective systems to manage your communication services and servers off-site for a low cost monthly fee. We partner with trusted names like Microsoft and Cisco to offer highly reliable systems.

Cloud Security

Security gives your IT infrastructure greater protections and prevents malware from entering your business’s IT systems. Local anti-virus on your company’s internal servers can only do so much! Relying on employees to spot threats is a high-risk strategy. With our trusted security services, you can be sure that threats are kept at bay. Long before they reach your system.

Our desktop services

We can design, install, support and maintain most desktop services ensuring that the desktop provisioning you use fits in well with your company business strategy for growth.

Moving your business to a standard locked down desktop also works well for a security strategy. Allowing you to harness a multitude of advanced, on-demand computing services and storage.

Standard Desktop

The desktop (or laptop) that we know and love, sitting on our desk at work or at home (if homeworking). We can provide the IT services and support to your end users. With Windows updates, software updates, standardisation, locking down, security reviews etc.

Azure Virtual Desktop

What is a Azure Virtual Desktop???

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) formerly Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) is a fully managed cloud desktop on Azure Cloud by Microsoft. It allows your employees to securely access all your organisation’s applications, services, networks and enterprise data. From any device, from anywhere. All that is required is a reliable and stable internet connection.

It offers a consistent user experience across all devices. Faster performance. On-demand scalability. Higher availability and ensuring zero or minimal business disruption.

It is the only virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) that delivers the multi-session Windows 10 experience. It enables optimisations for Office 365 and support for Windows Server Remote Desktop Services (RDS) desktops and apps.

Azure Virtual Desktop seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365. Teams is used to enhance overall employees user experience and productivity within the Microsoft Ecosystem.

In terms of pricing, it’s highly affordable as you pay only for services you use. Further, it eliminates the upfront Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) costs associated with hardware and software licenses.

In a nutshell, it’s a perfect virtual desktop solution that’s ready for today’s modern workplace.

Hosted Desktop

So the question is: What does a Hosted Desktop mean? In simple words, it’s nothing but a desktop hosted in the cloud. Basically, it’s a managed internet based solution that allows you to host all your business apps with data on the cloud in a secured way and access them remotely from any device, anytime, anywhere.

It allows flexible working and consolidates all of the tools an organisation uses in one place offering consistency, reliability and access to all applications, even legacy ones in the same location.

It is also known as Virtual Hosted Desktop or Cloud Based Desktop or Desktop as a Service (DaaS).

Local Desktop

The same as we would call a ‘standard desktop’. The desktop (or laptop) that we know and love, sitting on our desk at work or at home (if homeworking). We can support these with Windows updates, software updates, standardisation, locking down, security reviews etc.

Desktop Hardware

We are partnered with Dell computers and can easily supply any desktop hardware requirements you might have, from Dell or any other manufacture.

Server Hardware

We are partnered with Dell computers and can easily supply any server hardware requirements you might have, from Dell or any other manufacture. We like small form factor, unobtrusive servers, that offer a level of security, business support and provide any business continuity planning you might have.

Desktop ‘fix’ Services

We can ‘fix’ most desktop solutions, from most manufactures. We can parts replace any issues you might be having, or if it is economically better, we can replace you existing broken hardware, with new or second user hardware. Second user is much better for the environment and could fit into any environmental policy you might have. Our second user desktops come with warranties etc.

Why do you need an IT security audit?

Principally, an IT security audit is needed to ensure that your cyber-defences are as up to date as they can be, in order to effectively respond to the threats posed by hackers and other such criminals who manipulate IT systems for their own ends.

Should an IT system’s defences be found wanting when compared to the cutting-edge approaches used by hackers, then everything your business has worked for could be at risk. Just a single vulnerability can lead to not only your bank details and subsequently your cash being stolen, but also your personal data that you wouldn’t want being made public knowledge.

Small businesses in particular are a tempting target for cyber-criminals, as the thinking is that whilst they have significant cash reserves due to being a commercial entity, they are unlikely to have a sizable team or level of resources solely dedicated to IT protection. Due to their attention being diverted elsewhere, an infiltrator can go about their business without being detected, whereas a larger company with greater manpower would be able to quickly detect that something is amiss.

The Importance of Network Security

Organisations and businesses today need to understand the importance of network security. A breach in the network security can result in all types of irreparable harm, which is why organisations need to be educated and equipped with the right tools to prevent cyber-attacks.

Organisations need to update their systems regularly, especially because hackers are discovering new flaws to gain access to unauthorised networks. Bulldog IT can ensure your business is secure by implementing our advanced network security solutions.

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a certification scheme backed by the Government to reduce cyber vulnerability throughout the supply chain. When implemented correctly, the security controls outlined should prevent 80% of cyber-attacks. Launched in 2014 by the National Cyber Security Centre, the Cyber Essentials scheme highlights the five basic cyber security controls that all businesses should be implementing:

  • Secure connections to the internet
  • Controlled access to devices and data
  • Protection from viruses and other malware
  • Management of software patches and updates
  • Secure devices and configurations

Being certified is a great first step in being GDPR prepared. Cyber Essentials Certification is evidence that you have carried out the appropriate steps to protect your business and your data.

Why Security is important in Cloud Computing

We understand that every organisation is different, and Bulldog IT aim to provide protection for all types of environment. We can assist organisations to implement security policies and ensure that their cloud security adheres to any compliance and legal requirements, such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and GDPR regulations.

IT security has never been as significant as it is today. The threat landscape is wider than ever before, with new and more dangerous Malware created daily, businesses need to take every precaution to protect themselves from external as well as internal threats.

The Bulldog IT team focus on an array of IT security services across the country (and abroad). With twenty years’ experience of defining and implementing IT security strategies, Bulldog IT is an IT partner that you can trust to deal with such crucial concerns on your behalf; specialising in the dangers and security issues looked at by small and medium-sized organizations today.

Our Backup services

Backups are important, and are often the most overlooked item of any IT landscape. We can design, install, support and maintain most backup solutions, ensuring that the backup provisioning you use, fits in well with your company business strategy and also your Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery plans.

What is data recovery?

Data is the most valued asset for a modern-day business and the possibility of losing it, is detrimental for both financial and legal reasons. Recovery is the process of restoring lost data such as files, media, storage, and anything that is valuable to your business. Data recovery services uses a software which help to restore this lost data efficiency and whilst trying to avoid business downtime. Data can be lost through error, mistake, or even cyber-attacks. The UK has a daily threat of 65,000 cyberattacks and it is thought that this is increasing because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fortunately, when data is lost, it normally is not permanent and can be retrieved through the recovery process. This is because even though visually the data might be lost, it can still be found in the storage drive intact which is why having a data recovery service is important.

What is a Disaster Recovery Plan?

Disaster recovery focuses on the IT systems that help support critical business functions. The term business continuity is often associated with disaster recovery, but the two terms are not completely interchangeable. Disaster recovery is a part of business continuity, which focuses more on keeping all aspects of a business running despite the disaster. IT systems these days are so critical to the success of the business, disaster recovery is therefore a main pillar in the business continuity process.

What is SaaS Protection?

SaaS Protection provides the cloud backup solution which is developed to solely protect your business. SaaS Protection offers the back up of data, meeting security needs, in cloud-based services such as Microsoft 365. Software-as-a-service (SaaS) resides within the Microsoft 365 applications and allows for the recovery of critical data should anything critical happen.  This model is on demand which allows for flexibility whilst meeting security needs, without having them in house.

Having SaaS protection allows for the security of the organisation and any data loss caused, all whilst meeting corporate needs.  SaaS Protection means that all business-critical data is seamlessly secured, restored, and backed up in the prestigious database.

Our General IT services

We can cover almost all of your IT requirements. This includes e-mail, VoIP services and solutions, presence management, eCommerce, Website design, support and maintenance, Office 365 support (M365), Teams support, Zoom.

Email

Can’t live without it, yet it seems to drive everything we do. Whenever we upgrade, fix or support any desktop or server, the first request we always get is – will my email work when you are finished? Email drives our daily workloads and has become the most important item in the IT suite. We can perform server upgrades, put you email server into a hybrid mode (some on prem and some cloud based) or perform a complete cloud migration.

Voice Over IP (VoIP)

Without the connectivity to the phone system, customer requests aren’t serviced to a satisfactory level, new connections are not made, sales don’t come in….. business is lost. It is said that 80% of business generation / income comes from 20% of our customers and without those businesses easily being able to contact us, it is a cycle of diminishing returns, simply because your phone system is not functioning correctly. We have teamed up with ‘The Comms Guys’ to help support our customers with all their VoIP requirements.

Presence Management

This is a little use option on many VoIP / telephony systems. Yet it can be an excellent add-on when tied into your Windows Desktop. Here is a good example why you should implement presence management – You are away from your desk, you popped out to another clients site. Your windows desktop know you are not there because your screensaver is on, or your desktop shut down. An important call comes into your desk phone, rather than letting it ring through to your voicemail, the presence management system re-routes that call straight to your mobile. The client doesn’t need to hang up, find your mobile number (which you might not want them to have) and then call you again, presence management takes care of all of that. Simple and seamless. Want to know more, contact us….

eCommerce

Are you running an eCommerce website and its not functioning fully, or as well as it should. Give us a call. We can support most eCommerce solutions from WooCommerce, Shopify, Big Commerce and also integrate it with cross platform connectivity to eBay, Facebook marketplace etc……

Website Design, Support and Maintenance

Want to change the design of your existing website or implement a new website showcasing your products, then call us…… Need your existing site supported on its existing platform or moved to another new platform, then call us….. Need your existing website better maintained as you current support services are not keeping up with your ever changing needs, then call us…..

MS Office 365 (M365)

We remember Windows x286 (late 80’s), the original MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Things have changed a lot since then but the principles of software support, installation and maintenance have changed very little. We have many many years experience on the Microsoft platform and we are here to support you with our knowledge and experience.
